Dispatch Sites

FAQ

Straightanswers

Everything people ask before working with us — answered the way we'd answer on a call. No sales gloss.

01What does a website from Dispatch Sites cost?
Landing pages typically start around $1,500 AUD, full custom websites around $3,000 AUD, and larger builds scale from there. Every project gets a fixed quote before work starts — no hourly surprises, no scope drift invoices.
02How long does a website take to build?
Landing pages: one to two weeks. Full custom sites: three to six weeks. Timelines are agreed before kickoff and we hit them — delays on our side don't become your problem.
03Do you use templates or page builders?
No. Every site is designed from a blank page and hand-coded in Next.js. That's the entire point of Dispatch Sites — if a template could do your business justice, you wouldn't need us.
04Why does not looking like a template matter?
Because customers decide in seconds whether you're different or interchangeable. A site that looks like everyone else's puts you in a price comparison. A site that feels specific to you takes you out of it.
05Do I own my website?
Completely. Code, design, content, and domain are all yours on final payment. No lock-in contracts, no hostage hosting, no monthly ransom to keep your own site.
06What is your process?
Three phases: find the difference (strategy — what only your business can say), shape the feeling (design tuned to how you should feel, not what's trending), and build the system (hand-coded, fast, accessible). You see and approve work at each phase.
07What technology do you build with?
Next.js and React — the same stack used by the world's most demanding product companies. It's fast, secure, and doesn't rot the way plugin-based platforms do.
08Do you do SEO?
Technical SEO is built into every site we ship: speed, structure, metadata, sitemaps, and schema markup. For businesses that want to grow their search visibility after launch, we also offer dedicated SEO work.
09What is AEO and do I need it?
AEO is answer engine optimisation — helping AI assistants like ChatGPT and Perplexity understand when your business is a useful answer to a customer's question. It can improve your eligibility and visibility in AI-assisted research, but it cannot guarantee a recommendation. It's worth considering when customers compare options before buying.
10Do you work with businesses outside Brisbane?
Yes. We're Brisbane-based and love local work, but we build for businesses across Australia. The process runs the same remotely — calls, shared previews, and clear checkpoints.
11Can you fix or redesign my existing website?
Usually the honest answer is a rebuild — it's often faster and cheaper than renovating a template. But if your foundations are good, we'll say so and scope the smaller job instead.
12What happens after I book?
We reply within 24 hours, run a 20-minute call to understand the project, and send a fixed proposal within 48 hours of that call. No obligation at any step.
